Bootcamps aren't just designed to break your body. The process involves teaching your body how to heal in relation to how it is broken. This process takes time and a lot of repetition.

Break your body this morning in a certain way, it learns how to heal itself tonight. Do it again the next morning. The following everning, your body heals just a little faster. The next morning, it takes a bit more for the body to break.

Three or four days and nights are never enough to make your body feel that this breaking-healing cycle is normal. That is why bootcamps are designed to last for, at least, two weeks. Anything shorter, you're just playing games— you´re just hurting yourself without getting any long-term benefits.

That is why some bootcamps can even last up to six months.

If all you're taking away from a week-long "bootcamp" is a sense of togetherness with everyone who has participated in it— a psychological edge, knowing that your mates are there for you because they understand what you have been through, as they've been through it themselves; that's not a bootcamp at all.

That's just hazing.
