Over the last few weeks, each of us has had something that needed dealing with. And there was a lot to talk about in the company of one's closest friends. We weren't going to let anything ruin our weekend plans.

It was a long conversation the details of which I might write about in the future. What's important is that the shrink doesn't believe that I suffering from depression (of the clinical sort) nor from something else that merits therapy— not for the moment.

I didn't go to work yesterday because I wasn't feeling well. I still don't. A bad cold, heavy coughing, a fever. I was in bed for most of the day just sleeping.
